League City, Texas - I love it when someone comes to me with an idea for a shoot that I've never done...much less even heard of.  This was the case for Samantha and her idea of a shoot with her daughters and nieces all wrapped up in three generations of wedding gowns!  She wasn't sure how we could make it happen and schedules were tight (as usual), but we made it work (obviously - shots below)!  I have two children under the age of two so I know how to deal with the unexpected, but this was a shoot with four girls under the age of five!  I wasn't real sure what the day would bring, but it was surprisingly easy!  I really enjoyed this shoot and look forward to working with Scott family more in the future!

Ahhh, the luck of a nearly impossible timeline!  I really thought when Kim contacted me in a pinch to check the availability of my schedule I wouldn't have the date open for her, much less be able to squeeze in a bridal shoot and have the enlargements ready for her in time!  Kim contacted us 5 weeks out from her wedding date and said that her photographer had fallen through and she really needed some help.  I am open for anything when it comes to photography and gladly accepted the job since my schedule was open.  The only real kink was getting a bridal shoot completed in time for the presentation at the reception.  Needless to say we got it taken care of and had a blast doing it!

You know the only thing I don't like about bridal shoots is that you have to wait until after the wedding before posting the pictures.  So, here are some favs from the day we spent in the urban areas of Houston.  More about the wedding in a later post but you can see a sneak peak here: www.dcstanleyphotography.com/darkroom/share and using the keyword - meadows.

Dallas, TX.  Great place...wish I could move there!  I've known Chantelle since high school.  We actually went to my Junior prom together, LOL!  That is a whole other story in and of itself.  We actually lost touch for many years and I was really happy to hear her voice on the phone the day she called to ask me to document this special time in their lives.  We set a date for their engagement shoot (posted previously) and we had a blast.  It's always fun to takes shots of people you know because they tell you how it is and what they really want!  I knew this wedding would be nothing short of spectacular because of Chantelle's taste and exposure to fashion, but wow what an experience.  I am just glad to have been able to freeze some of these wonderful memories in time for all of us.

It's awesome to see the "good 'ole dad" getting taken care of by the daughter!  Chan fixed him up perfectly!

The guys were sharp and extremely laid back:

The first site of the bride is always my favorite.

The best man was very funny and it sure was hard to get a good position to capture the emotions and reactions to his words.  Love this one:

I wish you two all the best in the world and hope to see you soon up in Dallas!

Yazmin is one of the most exotic looking brides I have been graced to shoot.  She makes my job easy and was always full of candid actions.  It sure is refreshing to see such a strong love for family and life!  I couldn't wait to see how this day unfolded as I knew it was going to be special from the moment I met these two!  Yazmin scheduled some time between the ceremony and the reception for us to go (with the entire wedding party) to a few locations for a fun shoot session.  Houston is such an enormous town and I had never ventured to this part of town so, I decided to scout out a few locations on my way to the wedding.  I found an amazing place for us to go....peep it below (about midway through this post).

Well this one was a no brainer....my wife and two boys (one in the womb)!  We have a great little hidden gem of a sandwich shop out in a little town called Alvin (it's where Nolan Ryan is from).   While driving out there to eat we would always pass this field that just looked so amazing!  We had always wanted to shoot this location and I figured why not use my three favorite people as my subjects...no really Voula wouldn't leave me alone about it and I finally found time in our busy schedule to get it done.  Believe it or not but she is 8.5 months pregnant at the time I took these.  I took so many shots that day but I picked a few from my favorite's folder for you to enjoy!
